Mr. Yin has both legal and engineering backgrounds and is skilled in handling a wide range of technology-related legal matters. His practice covers intellectual property litigation such as patent, trade secret, and software copyright disputes, and he also offers distinctive insights into non-contentious work including patent portfolio planning and IP-related due diligence.

Mr. Yin has particularly extensive experience in patent and trade secret infringement disputes. He has handled a number of influential domestic and international IP cases across fields including semiconductor chips, circuit layout design, medical devices, large-scale mechanical equipment, computer software, and energy and chemical engineering. Several cases he represented were selected for summaries of the annual key points of judgments of the Supreme People’s Court Intellectual Property Tribunal and for the National Intellectual Property Administration’s annual Top 10 Exemplary Cases of Patent Administrative Protection, among others, and have received widespread praise from clients.

In addition, Mr. Yin is adept at handling IP disputes related to cross-border e-commerce. He has an in-depth understanding of Amazon’s platform policies and procedures, and has assisted multiple cross-border e-commerce businesses with patent and copyright infringement complaints and appeals on Amazon, achieving the most favorable outcomes for clients through Amazon’s APEX program.

Before joining Jiren, Mr. Yin worked at a leading domestic patent agency, providing long-term patent prosecution services for clients in Europe, the United States, and Japan.
