With a solid engineering background and years of hands-on litigation experience, Mr. Yu has long advised and represented domestic and international companies in SEP licensing rate and antitrust litigation, patent infringement actions, patent invalidation proceedings and related administrative litigation, patent administrative enforcement/right protection, and trade secret disputes. In the SEP area, he has handled a number of significant rate-setting and antitrust cases involving wireless communications and audio/video standards, and has conducted in-depth analysis on key issues such as FRAND rate determination, comparable licenses, global jurisdiction and territorial rate differentials, injunction strategies and defenses, and cross-border service of process.
