Ms. Yan Shufen is deeply familiar with the operation of the Chinese governments, the legislative and rulemaking procedures, and public consulting procedures. Ms. Yan’s expertise in law covers a wide range of issues including administrative licensing, competition law, foreign investment and IPR protection. Ms. Yan is especially experienced in government affairs and strategic consulting.
Ms. Yan Shufen worked in the Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council for more than 11 years. Ms. Yan managed and executed many key legislative cooperation projects and worked on numerous international programs including Transparency Meetings under the framework of S&ED between China and the U.S., China-US Legal Exchange Program, EU-China Trade Project, EU-China IPR II Project, Project on Technical Support to Public Participation in Rulemaking sponsored by Asia Foundation, IPR Exchange Program with JETRO, and China Program 2012 hosted by International Academy of Trial Lawyers.
Previously, Ms. Yan Shufen worked with Yuan Associates and ANBOUND Consulting. While at Yuan, Ms. Yan helped international clients connect with Chinese entities, organized policy seminars, and promoted cross-border dialogues and cooperation. While at ANBOUND Consulting, Ms. Yan was head of the firm’s market management team and operation team.
