On November 18th, the Power-Nation China Intellectual Property Forum unveiled its "2023 China IP & Antitrust Service Capability Watch List," where among the celebrated names, Dong Ning, a partner at GEN Law Firm, was honored as one of the "Top 10 Patent Lawyers of the Year." This award is a recognition of his  professional level of legal services.

Specializing in intellectual property litigation and advisory services, Dong Ning has demonstrated exceptional skill in managing intricate and high-stakes IP cases, especially for tech firms. Over the past year, he has adeptly guided a plethora of domestic and multi-national companies to victory in patent and trade secret litigations, garnering broad commendation for his professional accomplishments.

The selection is part of a research project on IP and antitrust service capabilities established by the Power-nation IP forum. Researchers conducted a thorough examination of law firms, patent agencies, and lawyers, reviewing high-profile cases disclosed by the Supreme People's Court, the Beijing Intellectual Property Court, the Shanghai Intellectual Property Court, the Guangzhou Intellectual Property Court, and the National Intellectual Property Administration over the years. They used the materials provided by law firms and agencies to form a preliminary list based on intellectual property service capacity standards. A video review meeting was held on November 16, where experts reviewed the materials and determined the final list after full discussion.

The Power-Nation China Intellectual Property Forum (CIPF), meticulously crafted by the Beijing Power-Nation Intellectual Property Institute, is a high-level platform for IP industry exchange. Positioned as non-official and non-profit, it spans administrative, judicial, academic, industrial, and financial sectors, reflecting industry demands and exploring strategies for development. After several years of growth, it has become one of the most influential IP event brands in China.
